Join us at Plug In ICA on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. as we mark the closing of FAX, an exhibition thatbrings together a diverse range ofartists, cultural workers, and thinkers in an investigation of the fax machine as a tool for creativity. We will also celebrate the exhibition Ice Fishing in Gimli (a novel) by Winnipeger Rob Kovitz which is also on display. Copies of Ice Fishing in Gimli are available on loan during the course of the exhibition, and may be enjoyed at home.

Faxes will arrive via the gallery’s active fax machine until February 19, 2010 where content will be updated daily and weekly.

FAX is a travelling exhibition co-organized by The Drawing Center, New York and iCI (Independent Curators International), New York, and circulated iCI. The guest curator is João Ribas. The exhibition and the accompanying publication were made possible, in part by members of the Drawing Room, a patron circle founded to support innovative exhibitions in The Drawing Center’s project gallery; and by support to iCI from The Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation, the Toby D. Lewis Philanthropic Fund, and iCI Benefactor members Agnes Gund, Gerrit and Sydie Lansing, and Barbara and John Robinson.
