My Winnipeg | Club Plug In: The Circus of Objects

September 21, 2012 – 7pm to 10pm


Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art is pleased to present Conférencier Grant Guy’s The Circus of Objects on Friday September 21st at 8 pm: an evening of mixed live performances that explores performance in many vocabularies and practices. The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend, however there is limited seating which is available on a first come first served basis. Doors open at 7 pm.

Club Plug In: The Circus of Objects includes three shows, with each show consisting of six to seven live acts and an assortment of music and videos. The next show will take place on October 6 at Plug In. On view during the first chapter of the My Winnipeg Project: There’s No Place Like Home (September 8thto October 7th), Club Plug In interprets Winnipeg through live performance.  For more information, please see  Club Plug In: The Circus of Objects.

Stella’s Cafe will be offering a light fixed menu at Club Plug In which includes includes cheeses, cut fruit, vegetarian tea sandwiches and wine for $15 (while quantities last).


Grant Guy, founder and artistic director of Adhere And Deny, has worked professionally in the arts since his graduation from the National Theatre School of Canada in 1973. He is a director, designer, playwright, curator and arts programmer/curator, video producer, performance artist and writer.
