Join us for the Winnipeg launch of ROMANS/SNOWMARE by Cam Scott, accompanied by poet Colin Smith, on Thursday, October 3rd at Plug In ICA, 7pm
Both a daybook of anti-capitalist ideation and a homoerotic reinvention of the prairie long poem, ROMANS/SNOWMARE marks the first layer of a lifelong writing project, gathering oblique tour journals, political witticism, found language, and lyric elegy.
Cam Scott is a poet, critic, and improvising non-musician from Winnipeg, Canada, Treaty 1 territory. He is the author of ROMANS/SNOWMARE, published by ARP Books in 2019.
Colin Smith, once of Vancouver’s Kootenay School of Writing, lives now in Treaty 1 Winnipeg, occupied Anishinaabe akiing. With Ted Landrum, Steven Ross Smith, and Jennifer Still, he is part of Eccentric Crops, a collaborative poem-making group.
