On Friday, October 7 from 5:00 p.m, as part of the 13th edition of send + receive: a festival of sound there will be a multi-performer public performance in the exchange district, on Albert Street between Bannatyne and McDermot Avenues.

Participants will lie face down on the street and sidewalk and proceed to pound the pavement with a microphone one thousand times.  The sound of each personʼs actions is amplified by an individual amplifier.  Each person chooses his or her own rhythm and intensity.  The performance will end when all participants have completed their one thousand hits.  This performance has already been presented in Seoul, Dundee, Quebec City, and Montreal.

An artist talk with Christof Migone will be presented on Saturday October 8 from 3:00 p.m. at Plug In ICA.

These events are free for all and all are welcome.
