Introducing New Additions to Our Team

POSTED ON September 26, 2022

Plug In ICA is excited to announce the addition of our new Communications intern and our new Fundraising and Development Coordinator . Please join us in welcoming Abby Gatbonton and Spencer Bubis!

Abby Gatbonton (she/they) is a Winnipeg-based multidisciplinary artist, who recently received her BFA (Honours) from the School of Art. With a background in Gender Studies, they prioritize the queer experience investigating gender, sexuality and sexualization while also exploring themes of intimacy, often referencing body and identity politics as they navigate through their identity and understanding of queerness on a personal level.

Spencer Bubis (he/him) is a student in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Winnipeg. He loves learning and writing about contemporary art and enjoys photography and filmmaking. He looks forward to connecting and engaging with the Plug In community.

The Communications Internship is funded in part by Young Canada Works through the Canadian Museums Association.
