Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art is proud to introduce:
New Additions to Plug In ICA
POSTED ON July 15 2021
Plug In ICA is excited to announce the addition of our newest board member and our new summer intern. Please join us in welcoming Cherissa Richards and Rose Gumber!
Cherissa Richards (she/her) is an actor and emerging director and playwright based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Cherissa has worked all across the country as an actor and director and playwright. She has appeared on Canada’s largest theatre stages including The Shaw Festival and assistant directed at the Stratford Festival. While Cherissa spends most of her time in theatre-on stage or behind the directing table, Cherissa has been appearing in quite a few Hallmark Christmas movies over the past few years and loves exploring the media of film and television. As an emerging playwright, Cherissa’s first co-written play “Torn Through Time” was produced at Manitoba Theatre for Young People in 2019 and she’s working on more writing to come!
Rose Gumber (she/her) is a high school student attending Vincent Massey Collegiate. Rose is excited to learn about various aspects of a nonprofit organization. She is looking forward to using her experience from the past and further developing her skills in the nonprofit sector.
As Bookstore Intern Rose will be immersed in Plug In ICA’s research library, bookshop, and visitor relations and will gain insight into working in a nonprofit contemporary art gallery. This internship opportunity is generously supported through the Winnipeg Foundation’s Summer Internship Program.
