Plug In ICA Announces New Bookstore & Gallery Coordinator
POSTED ON April 27, 2023
Plug In ICA is excited to announce that our Communications Intern, Abby Gatbonton will be joining us permanently as our Bookstore and Gallery Coordinator.
Abby Gatbonton (she/they) is a Winnipeg-based multidisciplinary artist, who recently received her BFA (Honours) from the School of Art. With a background in Gender Studies, they prioritize the queer experience investigating gender, sexuality and sexualization while also exploring themes of intimacy, often referencing body and identity politics as they navigate through their identity and understanding of queerness on a personal level.
Since joining Plug In ICA in October Abby has coordinated and disseminated our press releases and communications, documented our events, provided technical assistance, and managed our social media platforms.
As Bookstore and Gallery Coordinator Abby will be responsible for overseeing the bookstore, processing memberships, and managing the day to day operations of maintaining the bookstore and the gallery.
We are so pleased that Abby is able to join our team more permanently!
