Plug In ICA Announces New Operations Manager

POSTED ON July 8, 2025

Plug In ICA is delighted to announce the addition of our new Operations Manager Nicole Shimonek. Please join us in welcoming Nicole!

Nicole Shimonek is excited to join Plug In ICA as Operations Manager, supporting both daily operations and long-term planning. She was drawn to Plug In’s commitment to facilitating a mutually beneficial dialogue between art and its wider social context.

Based in Winnipeg, Nicole is a visual artist working in sculpture, drawing, video, performance, and installation. Her cross-media practice explores the symbolic meaning of materials and actions. She holds an MFA from Chelsea College of Art and Design (UAL London) and has participated in residencies at the Banff Centre, L’AiR International (Paris), and Bow Arts (London). Her work has been shown nationally and internationally.
