Plug In ICA presents performance by Leslie Hall and The Lys

Saturday May 8, 2010

Saturday May 8, 2010, Plug In ICA is pleased to present Iowa-based performance artist Leslie Hall, also known by fans as Mama Gem. She will rip up to Winnipeg with her band, The Lys, for a live performance. Line your pan with Crisco when she dances her disco because her stretchy pants and sparkly bling are gonna groove you!

Leslie Hall is presented as part of Intermixamania DIY* Craftival (*Do it yourself… with others).

The night will also feature Mme. Zsa Zsa, The Underwater Oracle, an official City of Barrie ON tourist attraction for the summer of 2009 curated by Sarah Beveridge through the Maclaren Art Centre. Mme. Zsa Zsa has also survived two Nuit Blanches, Toronto (not Paris yet), by reading thousands of people’s fortunes till the light of day and charging $2 per reading. Mme. Zsa Zsa, The Two Dollar Psychic, is the alter ego, love child of multidisciplinary artist Andrew Harwood. Harwood has also hosted Canada’s only politically protested drag show “The Gaza Strip Club” and also famous for his “ReVue of Beauty and Talent” both formerly @ Buddies In Bad Times Theatre, Toronto. Come and get “read” Saturday night @ Plug In 8 p.m. till late –  ”Mme. Zsa Zsa Knows All!”

Last but certainly not least, DJ Ahhhndre and Mr. Ghosty will perform throughout the night
