Plug In ICA Staff Join IATSE Local 63
February 11, 2025
Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art is thrilled to announce that its staff are now officially part of the IATSE Local 63 union. Initial discussions about organizing began in December 2023, the official filling with the labour board was filled in May 2024 and the collective bargaining concluded in January 2025. As a leader in contemporary art, Plug In ICA is proud of this historical and monumental moment in our history. With this unionization staff now have matching contributions towards a pension, wage increases and job security protection.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Canada Council, the Manitoba Arts Council and Winnipeg Arts Council. We could not operate without their continued financial investment and lobbying efforts.
