Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art is pleased to present:

Prairie Art Book Fair 2022

September 9 – 11, 2022

Call for Exhibitors | Applications due April 30, 2022

Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art is pleased to announce the third iteration of our Prairie Art Book Fair from Friday,  September 9 to Sunday, September 11,  2022 in the Plug In ICA galleries.

Established as a means of acknowledging the critical relationship between contemporary art and publishing with a regional focus on the Prairies, PABF provides a space for publishers and artists to share their work and for the art book community to intensify and flourish. The fair showcases publications and events from publishers, artists, and galleries with Prairie connections and aims to share zines, catalogues, artist editions, fiction, poetry, criticism, and periodicals and support readings, launches, and workshops.

We strongly encourage applications from BIPOC community members, as well as 2SLGBTA+ folks and people facing accessibility challenges.

Exhibitor applications are due April 30, 2022 and successful applicants will be notified after the closing date. If you are interested in renting a table or organizing an event in conjunction with the fair, please click here to fill out our online application form.

Please note that exhibitors will be expected to be available for set up and take down and staff their table throughout the weekend.

Exhibitor inquiries can be addressed to Erin Josephson-Laidlaw at erin@plugin.org and programming inquiries can be addressed to Luther Konadu at luther@plugin.org.

The Prairie Art Book Fair logos were designed by Michael Dumontier + Neil Farber in 2018.
