Summer Institute Open Studio

July 26, 2014 – 12pm to 5pm

Plug In ICA presents the Summer Institute’s Open Studio. Please join us Saturday, July 26th between 12pm and 5pm to see the works-in-progress produced by this year’s artist participants. This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

The Summer Institute is an international post-graduate artist residency for professional artists working in all disciplines. This is the seventh annual Summer Institute at Plug In ICA, and the fifth in Plug In’s purpose-built facilities. This four-week intensive studio program is led by Toronto-based artists and FAG Feminist Art Gallery co-founders Deirdre Logue and Allyson Mitchell. Thirteen multi-disciplinary artists working in mediums that include sculpture, new media, video, dance, performance, sound, painting and installation have been sharing a collegial, open-studio environment designed to instigate collaborative or independent projects with support and feedback from faculty, visiting artists and curators, as well as Plug In ICA staff.
