Youth Art Education Program | Continuing Studies by Kim Beom and The Birth and Death of Rock n Roll: Poetry by Allen Ruppersberg

Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art is offering FREE guided tours and educational programs run between April 25th and June 19, 2016, corresponding with two concurrent exhibitions: Continuing Studies by acclaimed Korean artist Kim Beom and No Time Left To Start Again/The Birth and Death of Rock ‘n’ Roll: Poetry by American conceptualist Allen Ruppersberg.  Plug In ICA invites classrooms to participate in our Youth Education Program, whichincludes an in-depth curriculum guide, comprehensive exhibition tours and related workshops led by a local artist. For this current program, tours will be led by Janique Vigier, Plug In’s Curatorial Coordinator and workshops are led and designed by local artist Hannah Doucet.

Plug In ICA’s Youth Art Education Program aims to provide new opportunities for Manitoba students to engage with contemporary art. Students will gain experience reading and interpreting visual materials as well as have the opportunity to communicate their ideas, experiences and feelings visually.

Plug In ICA is also pleased to offer exhibition tours outside of the education program to any organizational groups who may be interested. For more information or to book a tour, please contact Janique Vigier by email at janique@plugin.org or by telephone at (204) 942-1043 ext 27.

Plug In Institute of Contemporary Art would like to thank the generous sponsors and supporters of the Youth Art Education Program, including The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and The Winnipeg Foundation.
