Video: Live Chat with Sarah Anne Johnson, David Moos, Meeka Walsh and Robert Enright

Live Chat took place Friday, June 6th 2026 | University of Winnipeg Manitoba Hall Boardroom, room 2M70 | 5 – 7PM

This panel discussion dissected House on Fire, Sarah Anne Johnson’s response to her grandmother’s experience as a victim of psychiatric experimentation. The conversation delved into Sarah Anne’s artistic methodologies and approaches spanning the length of her career. The interest in multimedia, expanding the photographic image and asking the question – does art do anything? In contrast to her themes of outward exploration and connectivity at the heart of her past environmental series, House on Fire directs inward for Johnson. Alongside longstanding peers; David Moos, Meeka Walsh and Robert Enright, Sarah Anne talks of the hesitation to intimately showcase the traumatic matrilineal impact of the Allen Institute.

Plug In ICA would like to thank Michael Nesbitt for making this exhibition possible.
