STRANGE ILLUSIONS Plug In ICA Gala and Art Auction

Celebrate with Plug In ICA and over 350 gala attendees in the abandoned basement of the Bay for our largest fundraising event of the year on Saturday, October 27, 2018. This year’s gala will be a costumed event and fine dining experience you won’t want to miss! The evening will feature Winnipeg’s top chefs, a showcase of work by 35 leading contemporary artists from Canada and beyond, and a dance floor you won’t be able to resist.
Our annual Gala and Art Auction raises funds in support of Plug In ICA programming, including our Respondent Series, Interpreting [Interrupting] Youth, STAGES Biennale, newly commissioned artwork from contemporary artists, critical publications, youth workshops, engaging events and unparalleled exhibitions. Most importantly your attendance and ongoing support keeps our galleries and events FREE TO ALL.

COSTUME POLICY
This year’s Plug In ICA Gala and Art Auction is a costumed* event themed ‘Strange Illusions.’ We’d like to remind everyone attending that costumes inappropriately representing other people’s struggles, such as poverty, violence, racism, or disability are not welcome. Plug In ICA reserves the right to deny entry or ask attendees to leave who are wearing culturally inappropriate and insensitive costumes.
