Video: Artist Talk with Przemek Pyszczek

On Tuesday, April 3rd at 7pm cherished Polish-born, Winnipeg-raised artist Przemek Pyszczek gave an artist talk programmed in conjunction with his current solo exhibition: Białystok (March 31-June 10, 2018)

On the special occasion of Pyszczek’s first major solo exhibition in Canada, he will speak about his practice, moving between the traditional artist talk format and a more conversational, performative approach, animated with anecdotal stories and images.

Preceding the talk, at 6pm, Pyszcek will offer a Polish tour.
Please RSVP for the Polish tour by emailing Sarah Nesbitt at All our programs are free. Everyone welcome.

Przemek Pyszczek is a Polish born, Winnipeg raised artist. After living in Berlin for the last eight years, he has relocated to rural Poland to continue his artistic research. Through architecturally inspired sculptures, installations and paintings Pyszczek’s work traces Poland’s transition since the fall of the iron curtain and also serves as an ongoing journey to rediscover his own past. He obtained his Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba in 2007. Pyszczek’s work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, most recently presenting a solo exhibition at Galerie Derouillon, Paris.
